The power of art in social change
In 2009 a diverse group of artists and musicians from northern Ghana and Denmark came together to develop, perform, exhibit and share works of art adressing sociocultural and individual problematics. These meetings resulted in exhibitions, audiovisual performances and workshops in a number of places in Denmark and Ghana, some of which you will find on this site.
The idea of his homepage is to provide a larger network for artists around the world, who share the idea of using art as one way of placing sensitive social, political and cultural issues on the agenda. Furthermore the homepage is meant to provide an active platform for continuing dialogue, mutual inspiration and new projects across national, ethnic, religious and other boundaries.
One of the project ideas currently being developed is the establishment of "The House of Arts" in Tamale, northern Ghana, which will include a music studio and a film production facility for local art production and international artist exchanges.
